How to pray and be heard by God
Who should we pray to?
Intro 1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Why Do Roman Catholics Pray to Saints?
When we pray to the saints, we’re simply asking them to help us, by praying to God on our behalf, or thanking them for having already done so.
Catholics believe in life after death, but they also believe that our relationship with other Christians does not end with death. Catholic prayer to saints is recognition of this communion.
Asking Mary to pray for us: A tradition of men, not found in the Bible.
Mother of Mercy: Another tradition of men.
Mary is the All Holy One: A tradition of men. We've already show God is the only "All Holy One."
Mary welcomes us at death: A tradition of men, not taught in the Bible.
Mary leads us to Jesus: Another tradition of men, not found in God's Word.
Who do we pray too, the Father, the Son, or the Holy Spirit?
I. We should pray unto God!
A. There should be a deep clear sense that we have come into the presence of the all Holy, all Mighty, all Loving One. And we are coming to his throne for help with our needs Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
B.We should dismiss from our minds the thought of our surrounding. This is done by yielding totally to the Holy Spirit, whom is our Prayer Partner. Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
II. We should pray to The Father
Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
John 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

Righteous Father John 17:11
Our Father which art in heaven Matthew 6:9
The Father of glory Acts 4:24
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ Ephesians 1:17
Our God And Father Ephesians 3:14
III.We should pray To the Lord Jesus Christ.
Acts 9:9,10,13,14,17,20,21 And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink. And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord. And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth, And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight. Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will show him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake. And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God. But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?
2 Tim 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
1 Corinthians 1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:
Romans 10:12-13 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved
IV. If it is okay to pray to the Father, and the Son, is it all right to pray to the Holy Spirit?
We never see an instance in the Bible where anyone prays to the Holy Spirit. Why is that? The answer is that the Holy Spirit does not bear witness of Himself. He bears witness of the Son (John 15:26). But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
. 2 Cor. 13:14 says, The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
we are also called into fellowship with the Spirit. But I don’t think this verse is teaching that we should directly pray to the Spirit suley it is teaching that we should talk to the Spirit and He will give us an unction to pray to God and His Son Jesus Christ .
